It is that time ~ summer is winding down and we are looking forward to some cooler temperatures as our summer perennials are fading and approaching their final weeks. Cut back any perennials that have already finished blooming and continue to deadhead the later bloomers.
If you are looking for a late summer glorious bloomer for your pollinators, try Allium! Pollinators adore this plant, but thanks to the scent of the leaves when they are crushed the bunnies and deer will stay away from this beauty. At 15-20″ high and 10-15″ wide, this easy-to-grow perennial is perfect for the front to middle of the border, and it is positively stunning when planted in larger groupings of 3 or more.
Don’t miss planting season! Give us a call and get on our list for fall, we can help you with planning, planting, maintenance ~ all of your landscape needs.
