Special Plant Feature for Raleigh Landscaping: Hydrangeas
Hydrangeas are a beautiful shrub to add to Raleigh Landscaping. They provide summer color and are an all-around gorgeous bush. They do well in morning sun and afternoon shade. Too much shade will keep the plant from fully developing. Hydrangeas thrive in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. They can grow 3-18 feet tall and wide depending on the variety you choose.
There are a few different types of Hydrangeas you can choose from. The most common in Raleigh Landscaping are the Endless Summer Hydrangeas. They bloom continuously throughout the summer and produce the common clusters of flowers that look like snowballs or mopheads in colors of pink, purple, and blue. Lacecap Hydrangeas bloom slightly differently and not as common in the Triangle, but are pretty as well. Below are a couple of pictures to help you see the difference.
